Kirkbride Primary School and Nursery is a thriving school, right at the heart of the community. We are a warm and friendly school, with a strong family feel and nurturing staff who care deeply about the community we serve. We know all children love to succeed and we ensure all of our pupils reach their potential and are challenged through a rigorous, exciting and creative curriculum. Our expectations of behaviour and attitude to learning are high and we support our pupils to be independent and responsible in the choices that they make, ready for the next steps in their educational journey. We have ambitious expectations of what progress our pupils can make and strive to enable every one of them to achieve to the very best of their ability.
We believe passionately about providing our pupils with experiences above and beyond the curriculum; we offer a wide range of extra curricular activities from music lessons to sports coaching. We also have a fantastic Forest School area as well as making the most of the beach and the fells which aren't too far from our door-step.
We are extremely lucky to have a Nursery. Here the foundations of learning and a love of learning are set through creative learning experiences and structured play. Children are welcome to join our Nursery from their 3rd birthday. Please see our Nursery page for more details.
