Welcome to Ash!
Summer Term 2017
What an amazing term we have had. Well done to all of the children for working so hard and achieving so much. We have enjoyed our topics of 'The Great Outdoors' and 'Seaside' and we have spent lots of time outside using our lovely outdoor area. We have enjoyed trips to Campfield Nature Reserve then Allonby and Maryport.
The children have enjoyed learning and re-writing the story of 'The Lighthouse Keepers Lunch' and thinking of a new plan to trick those pesky seagulls. Nursery children also enjoyed 'Rainbow Fish' and created some amazing art work. They have also enjoyed learning about the heroine 'Grace Darling' in History. Ask your child all about her and why she is famous. There are some fantastic lighthouse displays around our unit.
In Geography we have identified physical and human features and our trip to Allonby beach helped us with this.
We have had an amazing year in Ash class and we are very proud of all of the children. We will miss Mrs Hodgson as she starts her new job at Kingmoor. I'm sure she will keep in touch.
Have a brilliant summer holiday and we will see you all in September.
